All the students who had been attending the Blue Edge Program over the past eight weeks went to the mainland as a reward for their commitment to the program and celebrated having completed the course. First stop was McDonalds where they had breakfast for free! Next, they went to Chermside Shopping Centre and went to Rebel to choose a new pair of shoes up to the value of $150, FOR FREE! They were so HAPPY! Then, they went bowling and had 2 games. The rule was made that if an adult got a strike the children had to do five push-ups. If one of us made a strike, the adults had to do ten push-ups. This made it really fun. The last thing they did was go Laser Tagging. We would like to thank Grant and Matt for taking the students on an astonishing event, they were so, so thankful. Thanks also to the Blue Edge Program, they learned lots about how to stay healthy and make good choices in life. Thanks Aunty Carmel for making us breakfast every Tuesday and Thursday morning over the past eight weeks and thanks also to Grant the bus driver!
