The Sustainability/Gardening Club went with Ms Serena on an excursion to Point Lookout Bushcare Nursery. We were so lucky to have Bruce and Judy share their knowledge with us, and help us choose plants to bring back to school to plant in our garden. Each student chose their own plant, which included native mulberry, blue lilly-pilly, native ginger, koala gums and midjimberries. Dante chose a Midjimberry and said "I'm going to plant this at school and one day when my kids go to Dunwich, they can eat the midjimberries" and Coco-May chose a Swamp Mahogany Gum because her class are learning about Koala conservation on Minjerribah and that's their favourite food! We had a wonderful time, and are very grateful to Bushcare for all they do for our island. Next up, planting!
