Welcome to Dunwich State School
Dear Parents, Carers, and Community Members,
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I welcome you to Dunwich State School.
Situated on the beautiful Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), our school stands on the traditional lands of the Noonuccal, Goenpul and Ngugi people. We acknowledge and pay our deep respect to the Elders past, present and emerging, and we honour the enduring cultural, spiritual and educational connections that have existed on this land for thousands of years. These connections continue to shape the identity and spirit of our school today. Our location provides extraordinary opportunities for students to engage with the natural environment, learn on Country, and build a strong sense of identity and place.
Our school community is one of strength, inclusion and high expectations. We are privileged to have a team of dedicated and experienced staff who are committed to nurturing each child's academic success, wellbeing, and personal growth. Together with our families and wider community, we strive to create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
At Dunwich State School, we believe that every child can succeed, and we are committed to helping each student reach their full potential through meaningful, culturally responsive, and future-focused education.
We look forward to working in partnership with you throughout the year, and we thank you for being part of our unique school community.
